History

Coredesign has been around for over 30 years. Our history can actually be traced back to 1986, when the renowned designer Lisbeth Kaare founded Kaaredesign A/S in Faaborg on Funen. Lisbeth Kaare is behind many Danish designs, and she is particularly known for her work with HC Andersen - and in that connection the design of bedding, tablecloths and Christmas elves for Magasin and Illum.

 

Where does "Coredesign" come from?

In 2005, Kaaredesign A/S was bought by the current owner Pia Marie Schougaard, and Kaaredesign became Coredesign. Pia Marie Schougaard comes from the financial sector, where she has worked in sales and management for 14 years - most recently as regional manager in Tryg with responsibility for 135 employees. She studied insurance law at the academy, and supplemented her theoretical knowledge with an MBA in strategy and management. She is also a passionate person who is passionate about working with people, thereby creating results and giving customers good experiences. The pace is fast, and there is never far from thought to action.

The new owner chose to move the company to Ringsted to get closer to the clientele, which is primarily located in Greater Copenhagen and on Zealand.

 

In 2009, new and completely ideal settings were inaugurated when Coredesign moved to Næstved to be closer to private residence. The journey subsequently led to Coredesign moving again in 2018 – this time to get closer to the customers – namely in the heart of Copenhagen in beautiful surroundings and facilities with a showroom at Islands Brygge.

 

Who are we today?

In 2023 we moved again, but we only moved 100 meters down the road. Our beautiful new premises on the harbor front, in a sustainable building, have brought us closer to our values ​​and made them a bigger part of our everyday life. We have also become even sharper on ourselves and thus also on you as a customer. This has led to a new approach to our branding and marketing. We want to be your business partner who advises and challenges you professionally, so that together we can create the best projects.
