ISO and Sustainability

We have made a conscious decision…

Therefore, at the beginning of 2021, we decided to obtain ISO certification in the field of quality and environment - ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. We did not just want to talk about what we do, but also to act and implement our schemes in practice.

Today, social responsibility and environmental awareness are an integral part of our business operations and are more than just trendy buzzwords for us. We take an active position on our suppliers and the products we deliver. This also includes our own behavior in everyday life, especially with regard to the environment.

By having our own code of conduct, we have decided on working hours, underpayment, occupational safety, child labor and the working environment. We prefer to work exclusively with suppliers who can guarantee that their conditions are in order.

We prioritize delivering products that are ethically sound, rather than going for the lowest price. We contribute to taking social responsibility by supporting organizations such as the Children's Cancer Foundation, Hus Forbi and the Red Cross.

In addition, we have employed students, interns and people in flexi-jobs where Copenhagen Municipality refers us.

We have a special CSR history of which we are very proud:

In August 2020, Cristina Neumann contacted Coredesign A/S for help with an assessment process and we agreed to assist her. After 10 months, she had a permanent employment contract with Coredesign in a flexible job arrangement.

Coredesign is passionate about the environment, quality and management. In 2020, we dedicated ourselves to preparing the next big project: to obtain ISO certification in the field of environment and quality. Our company was reviewed down to the smallest detail to streamline processes and reduce complaints. Today, we are proud to have achieved both certifications, which recognize the hard work that goes into every work process in our company.

But what does sustainability really mean?

Sustainability has become a very popular term – and perhaps even a redundant filler word for some. But there are three aspects of sustainability:

  • Social sustainability

  • Economic sustainability

  • Environmental sustainability

A product can only be described as sustainable if it meets all three aspects. Therefore, there are very few products that can be called sustainable. At Coredesign we are very conscious of the use of the word "sustainable". We only use it when we can vouch 100% for the product and its sustainability properties.
